Two-year materials & labour warranty

Materials and labour. Clear two-year coverage.

We stand behind the coating materials we supply and the preparation and application we agree to perform. Our limited two-year warranty explains what is covered, how we put a covered defect right and which conditions fall outside that promise.

Quick answer

Two years from completion.

Dynamic Painting provides a two-year limited materials and labour warranty for eligible painting work, including defects caused by our preparation or application.

For a covered defect, we supply the materials and labour reasonably needed to prepare and repaint the affected area at no charge. Coverage applies to the surfaces and coating system in your accepted scope, subject to the exclusions below.

Effective September 26, 2026: this policy applies to estimates accepted on or after this date. Earlier projects retain their agreed terms unless we confirm an extension in writing.

Covered materials and workmanship

What we stand behind.

A review starts with the agreed work, completion date, affected surface and cause of the problem.

01

Included painted surfaces

The wall, ceiling, trim, door or exterior surface must be part of the accepted project. Surface-specific exclusions are explained below and in the estimate.

02

Our preparation and application

Defective preparation or application of the agreed coating system is covered, including resulting peeling, blistering or loss of adhesion.

03

Materials we supply

Defects in the paint, stain, primer or coating materials supplied and applied by Dynamic Painting are covered under this limited warranty.

04

Correction of covered work

We assess the affected area and arrange the preparation, coating materials and labour reasonably required to correct the covered defect without charging for that repair.

Limits and exclusions

Understand what a painting warranty can cover.

A new coating cannot prevent every change in a building or outdoor surface. The exclusions apply when the listed condition causes the problem; they do not exclude a defect caused by preparation or application that Dynamic Painting agreed to perform.

Leaks and external moistureWater intrusion, active leaks, drainage failures, standing water or other moisture sources outside the agreed painting work.
Structural movement and substrate failureSettlement, movement cracks, rot, failing stucco or drywall, and failures of underlying coatings unrelated to a defect in our agreed preparation or application.
Normal wear, weathering and damageExpected fading, scuffing, abrasion, foot traffic, hail or impact damage, and deterioration caused by unsuitable cleaning or maintenance.
Deck boards and high-wear horizontal surfacesDeck boards, stairs, floors and horizontal walking or standing-water surfaces, unless expressly included in signed project terms. Their maintenance needs differ from vertical surfaces.
Colour choices and matchingA change of colour preference is not a coating defect. Ageing and exposure can limit exact colour or sheen matching during a local repair.
Later work and customer-supplied productsDamage caused by alterations, incompatible products or work by others; defects in materials supplied by the customer. Our agreed preparation and application are still covered.
Work beyond the affected coatingThis limited warranty provides correction of covered painting defects. Unrelated building repairs, upgrades and repainting unaffected areas are not included.
Request a warranty review

Show us the concern so we can assess it.

Let us know promptly and within two years of completion. The cause of the problem determines whether it falls within the warranty.

01

Identify the project

Send the project address, completion date and estimate or invoice reference if available.

02

Describe what changed

Identify the surface, when the issue appeared and any changes in moisture, use or surrounding conditions.

03

Include photographs

Wide views and close-ups help us plan the assessment. Keep the affected area available for review where practical.

04

Agree the next step

We review the cause and explain whether coverage applies. Covered repairs are scheduled around access, suitable application conditions and curing requirements.

Contact us before arranging another contractor to repair the coating, except for urgent action needed to prevent further damage. This helps preserve the evidence and lets us arrange a covered repair.

Painting warranty questions

Know the coverage before you book.

How long is Dynamic Painting’s painting warranty?

Our limited materials and labour warranty lasts two years from project completion. It applies to eligible work in estimates accepted on or after September 26, 2026. Earlier projects retain their agreed warranty terms unless we confirm an extension in writing.

Does the warranty include labour and workmanship?

Yes. It covers defects in coating materials supplied by Dynamic Painting and defects caused by our preparation or application of the agreed coating system. For a covered claim, we provide the materials and labour reasonably needed to prepare and repaint the affected area at no charge. The exclusions below apply.

What happens if paint peels, blisters or loses adhesion?

Contact us so we can assess the cause. Failure caused by our agreed preparation, application or supplied coating materials is covered. Failure caused by an excluded condition, such as a leak, structural movement or underlying surface failure unrelated to our work, is not covered by this limited warranty.

Are decks and horizontal walking surfaces covered?

Deck boards, steps, floors and other horizontal walking or standing-water surfaces are excluded unless expressly included in your signed project documents. Exterior wood requires maintenance. Vertical surfaces included in the project remain subject to the other warranty conditions.

Will a warranty repair include the whole room or house?

Coverage is for the affected area and the preparation, coating materials and labour needed to correct the covered defect. We aim for a practical colour and sheen match; ageing, fading and differences between batches can affect matching. A defect in one area does not automatically require repainting unaffected rooms or elevations.

Do manufacturer warranties replace Dynamic Painting’s warranty?

No. Any manufacturer warranty is separate. Our materials and labour obligations under this warranty do not depend on the manufacturer approving a claim. If you supply a coating, we assess compatibility in advance; a defect in that supplied product is excluded, while our agreed preparation and application remain covered.

How do I request a warranty review?

Contact info@paintcalgary.ca or call 587-227-8826 promptly after noticing a concern and within two years of completion. Include the project address, completion date, affected surface, description and photographs. Allow reasonable access for assessment and any agreed repair. Contact us before arranging a third-party repair, except for urgent action needed to prevent further damage.

What if my project documents contain different terms?

The estimate identifies the included surfaces, coating system and any specifically agreed coverage. Read it with this warranty before accepting the project. A broader written promise remains valid. If anything conflicts or is unclear, ask us to resolve it in writing; nothing here removes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
